Almost Worth Knowing: The Clone Wars Sucked

Check out BA Yates review of the Clone wars over at The Worst Ever. Here's an excerpt:

"It seemed strange to me that George Lucas should return here to his universally reviled Anakin rather than creating an adventure based around a fresh protagonist -- until I met the new characters (do the latter-day Star Wars movies have characters, or just talking action figures?) that he invented for The Clone Wars. They're worse. The most prominent is Ahsoka Tano, the breezy, smart-mouthed Padawan who claims Anakin as her mentor and insists that, just because she's young, that doesn't mean she can't be really annoying. She has orange skin (which she appears to have decorated with Wite-Out) and a hairstyle that suggests she's part Husky. She nicknames Anakin "Sky Guy." Anakin at first treats her like a bratty little sister, though she eventually wins her over. I think it is safe to say that he is the only one whom she will ever win over. Like Jar Jar Binks, Ahsoka seems to have been designed specifically to alienate the adult geeks who once comprised most of George Lucas's fanbase. Most of us will also encounter here for the first time Asajj Ventress, an Evil-Lyn type who sometimes uses Darth Maul's dopey style of lightsaber. The most flamboyant newcomer, however, is Ziro the Hutt, Jabba's cross-dressing uncle, who (by Lucas's request) sounds just like Truman Capote. This is not a joke. This actually is in the movie."

Pretty good review all-in-all, but that was my favorite part. I hate you Lucas.
